The Joint Inspector was developed to allow for the process quality control of diaphragm wall joints while they are being made. The Joint Inspector creates a profile of each newly created joint to enable precise detection of construction flaws and allows for correction during the construction process.
After the Joint Inspector is mounted onto the mechanical grabs, it moves from the bottom to the top along the newly exposed construction joint. During this upward movement the entire surface of the joint along the diaphragm wall panel is measured and data is recorded for later analysis.
